Goldendale Community Radio Volunteers Needed

Goldendale Community Radio (KVGD-LP) is a volunteer-powered enterprise. Help is always welcomed at every stage of administration, fundraising, event planning, and more! Come to a meeting to see how you can get involved.

Goldendale Community Radio relies on the energy and enthusiasm, bright minds and giving hearts of community members to get it on air and to keep it there. Numerous ways exist for you to get involved. If you are interested in helping out with fundraising, marketing or outreach let us know at kvgd at kvgd dot info.

Programmer Volunteers

Goldendale Community Radio exists to provide news, information of local relevance, community and civic events, and an eclectic range of music, as well as educational, cultural and children's programming to serve those who are underserved and underrepresented by other media sources. Everyone has the opportunity to join and participate in Goldendale Community Radio. Volunteer programmers and show hosts will have all of the rights and responsibilities of those positions, including access to air time.

The programming committee is available to answer any questions that you may have.

Here are the steps to follow for getting on air:

1.Fill out a program proposal form.

2.Submit a public service announcement to psa @ kvgd dot info.

3. Complete On Air Training. Learn how to use the equipment and how to have a show on KVGD-LP. If you donít want to be on the air (yet!), there are still opportunities to get involved. We are compiling a music library that needs updating, organizing, and reviewing. We are always looking for people to help spread the word about Goldendale Community Radio. Putting up flyers and posters is a big help. There are many opportunities to help out so please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your support!

Navigation 101 Graduation Requirement

This is a shout-out to Goldendale High School Timberwolves who would like to gain some radio experience that would count as community service hours for your Navigation 101 graduation requirement. Goldendale Community Radio is looking for teens interested in interviewing people, developing programs that would interest kids, producing Public Service Announcements, etc.
